CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS - AIA SDAT for Downtown Los Angeles

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS - AIA SDAT for Downtown Los Angeles

Call for Volunteers: Launched in October 2008, the Sustainability Committee of the Downtown Los Angeles Neighborhood Council is developing a community greening strategy with the aid of an AIA 2009 SDAT (Sustainable Design Assessment Team) grant. We have launched eight projects this year to support the development of this plan and further engage our community through education, outreach and advocacy to make Downtown a more livable, affordable and efficient urban center.  We will be developing a "toolkit" of resources accessible to all stakeholders in our community where they live, work and play.

We are looking for community partners and volunteers for each of the eight projects and we're reaching out to the architecture community for your expertise and participation. If you are interested in getting involved, please contact Committee Chair Ashley Zarella, LEED AP, Assoc. AIA / Director Area-wide Workforce, Private Sector at sustainability@dlanc.com or check out our blog for more information: http://downtownsustainability.blogspot.com.
