AIA|LA & LADBS - Interpreting the Building Code :: Thursday, October 27 (8am)
Dear AIA|LA Building Performance & Regulations Committee:
Who do you talk to when the building code says one thing and the inspector says another?!
In effort to facilitate a better built environment, AIA|LA is coordinating a quarterly series of leadership-pipeline meetings directly with LADBS management to discuss specific building code interpretation questions, challenges and discrepancies.
LADBS has requested to receive building code interpretation questions at least ten days in advance, so that they can be certain to invite the correct LADBS management to attend the sessions.
Architects and engineers are encouraged to provide a comprehensive set of building code interpretation questions in writing (especially with regards to specific issues/ problems they are experiencing in the field).
